The annual Hedgeweek US Awards recognise excellence among hedge fund managers and service providers in the US across a wide range of categories.
Voting for the awards is conducted via an online poll of the entire Hedgeweek readership, where participants are asked to make their choice among the shortlisted firms in each category.
The fund manager categories cover the spectrum of hedge fund investment strategies — including Equity Long/Short, Credit, Event-Driven, Macro, CTA, Equity Market-Neutral and Quant, Distressed Debt, Multi-Manager, and Multi-Strategy — while the service provider categories span the broad universe of counterparties, advisors and vendors servicing the hedge fund manager community.
All winners are invited to attend an exclusive virtual ceremony and networking event on Thursday 29 October 2020 at 17.00 EST. The results of the awards will also be covered — along with profiles of the winners — in a Hedgeweek US Awards Special Report that will be distributed globally.
Voting has now closed. Please see the list of winners here.
The Hedgeweek US Awards follow a clear and transparent process.
For fund manager categories, the pre-selected shortlists are based on data provided by Bloomberg, analysing annualized performance over a 12-month period from May 1 2019 to April 30 2020 for North America-based hedge funds with minimum assets under management of $100 million.
Hedge funds who wish to be considered for future Hedgeweek awards should add their fund profile to Bloomberg’s Hedge Fund Database by contacting a member of Bloomberg’s Hedge Fund Team at hfnd@bloomberg.net.
For service provider categories, the nominated firms are based on a widespread survey of more than 100 fund managers and other key industry participants.
Voting for the eventual winners is then conducted via an exhaustive online poll of the Hedgeweek readership carried out over a period of several weeks.
