Hedgeweek US Awards 2024

Voting for the awards is conducted via an online poll of the entire Hedgeweek user base, where participants are asked to make their choice among the shortlisted firms in each category.

The manager categories cover a wide spectrum of investment strategies and fund types, – encompassing the hedge fund, multi-manager, and liquid alternatives universes. The service provider categories span all the key areas of the broader hedge fund industry ecosystem.

All winners are invited to attend an exclusive ceremony and networking event on Thursday, October 10th, at The Penn Club, in New York.

The selection data for the fund manager shortlists has been sourced from a variety of providers.

Nominations for all categories are based on annualised performance over a 12-month period from June 1st 2023 to May 31st, 2024.

Absolute performance and risk adjusted returns will be used to determine the final awards. Fund managers are required to have a minimum three year track record and to have their primary management company presence in North America.

Managers in the sub $500m categories are required to have a minimum AUM of $100m on 31.5.24.

Awards for the Fund of the Year and the sub $500m categories will be judged by our Investor Advisory Board and announced on the night.

How do I nominate myself or my firm?
Managers: we take data performance from various sources to produce the shortlist. Managers should have their data uploaded to BarclayHedge, Preqin or Pitchbook by Friday, June 28th to be considered.
Service Providers: use the link to nominate your firm by Friday, June 28th. Managers can also nominate their service providers for an award.

Is there a cost to nominate myself or my peers?
There is no cost to enter firms for the shortlist.
What is the deadline for nominations?
The deadline for fund manager and service provider nominations is Friday 28th June 2024.
When will I find out if I’m shortlisted?
All finalists will be informed by Friday, July 12th. For managers, finalist logos will be provided and service providers will be offered campaign kits to aid in their marketing for public vote The shortlist will be publicly announced on Monday, July 22nd.
