Hedgeweek US Emerging Manager Awards 2024

For more than a decade, Hedgeweek has been recognising excellence in the fields of fund performance and service provision.

Pre-selection data for the fund manager awards has been provided by Bloomberg, based on absolute performance and risk adjusted returns for the 2023 Calendar Year. (1st January - 31st December 2023).

To be eligible, nominees must be primarily domiciled in either the United States or Canada. Managers represented are amongst the youngest reporting managers within their award universe.

Awards for certain categories will be put forward to our Investor Advisory Board for their considered opinion. These Awards will be announced on the night and include:

For the service provider categories, the nominated firms are based on a widespread survey of more than 100 emerging hedge fund managers and, extensive research by our in-house editorial team.

The Hedgeweek US Emerging Managers Awards 2024 provide an excellent networking opportunity in a casual atmosphere where we’ll also be celebrating the achievements of the Hedge Fund community.

Hosted on the back of our annual Hedgeweek US Emerging Managers Summit, join us at Convene, 101 Park Avenue where we’ll be bringing together over 100 industry professionals for an evening of fizz, laughter and entertainment.

How do I get nominated in the fund manager categories?
Fund manager nominations are based on pre-selection data provided by Bloomberg and are based on annualised returns over the 12 months from January 1st – December 31st 2023 by funds in their categories. Nominations in various award categories are further split by size and strategy as specified in the award name. How do I get nominated in the service provider categories?
Service provider nominations are based on detailed research by our in-house team and a widespread survey of fund managers. The firms with the most nominations make it through to the shortlist. Self-nominations are discounted.
Is there a cost to nominate myself or my peers?
There is no cost to nominate firms for the shortlist. Self-nominations will be discounted.
What is the deadline for nominations?
The deadline for fund manager nominations is Friday 26th January 2024. The deadline for service provider nominations is Friday 1st March 2024.
When will I find out if I’m shortlisted?
Finalists will be contacted by our team by Friday 8th March. A campaign kit will be provided to share with your networks and winners will be chosen via a voting system. To find out more about the voting process, contact us at events@hedgeweek.com
How are winners decided?
For the fund manager categories, winners are decided by a majority vote in our readers survey, in addition to feedback from our investor advisory board. For the service provider categories, winners are decided by a majority vote only. All self-votes will be discounted.
When do the awards take place?
This year's Awards take place after the annual Hedgeweek US Emerging Managers Summit on Thursday June 6th 2024 at Convene 101 Park Avenue, New York.
