For more than a decade, Hedgeweek® has been recognising excellence in the fields of fund performance and service provision.

Applying this experience and expertise to cryptocurrency hedge funds, we have built one of the industry’s most influential digital asset awards programmes – our winners selected by a mixture of allocator board, peer surveys, editorial expertise, and data analysis.

Each event is an opportunity for celebration, networking and, most importantly, recognition, attended by an exclusive list of 100+ C-suite leaders from the manager, allocator, and service provider communities.

Pre-selection data for the 2025 fund manager awards is based on both annualised returns and risk-relative returns over 12 months from Dec 1, 2022 to Nov 30, 2023.

The long-term performance category shortlists are based on annualised returns over 36 or 24 months (as relevant) from Dec 1, 2020 (or Dec 1, 2021) through Nov 30, 2023.

The Fund of the Year categories will be announced on the night of the awards and will be judged by our expert panel of investors.

For the service provider categories, the nominated firms are based on detailed research by our in-house team and a widespread survey of more than 100 global-based digital assets fund managers.

There is no cost to listing and it will give your fund exposure to a community of more than 72k global institutional investors. To find out more about this process, please contact: events@hedgeweek.com.

Please provide a brief overview of your business (up to 100 words) and a compelling case in 250 words or fewer on why your service deserves an award for the period from January 2024 to December 2024.

You may also include a client testimonial to support your entry—this is optional but encouraged.

These awards are free to enter!

Additionally, there’s an option to upload any supporting documents that might strengthen your submission.

Our in-house judging panel will select the finalists who will then go to public vote. The overall winner will be determined based on popularity and quality of submission.

The following categories will recognise outstanding annual returns in 2024 and track record since inception through 31st December 2024.

Assets include, but are not limited to, cryptocurrencies, app-based tokens, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that represent something of value or utility. The categories are also open to managers trading derivatives based on the value of these instruments.

Eligibility:

•70% minimum digital asset exposure*

•Monthly returns reported through 31st December 2024

•USD reporting (other currencies will be converted)

•Awards based on absolute, relative and risk-adjusted performance

*Exception: Alternative Coin Strategy Fund (>$10m) and Bitcoin Strategy Fund (>$50m) award categories are exempt from the minimum exposure requirement and are open to hedge fund managers.

The shortlist and winners will be selected based on entries and performance data gathered from industry data sources.

Fund manager nominations are based on pre-selection data provided by Bloomberg and are based on annualised returns over the 12 months from January 1st – December 31st 2024 by funds in their categories. Nominations in various award categories are further split by size and strategy as specified in the award name. How do I nominate my firm? (Service Provider Awards)
Service provider nominations are based on detailed research by our in-house team and a widespread survey of fund managers. The firms with the most nominations make it through to the shortlist. Self-nominations are discounted.
Is there a cost to nominate myself or my peers?
There is no cost to nominate firms for the shortlist.
What is the deadline for nominations?
The deadline for fund manager entries is Friday 7th March 2025. The deadline for service provider nominations is Friday 7th March 2025.
When will I find out if I’m shortlisted?

How are winners decided?
For the fund manager categories, winners are decided by a majority vote in our readers survey, in addition to feedback from our investor advisory board. For the service provider categories, winners are decided by a majority vote only. All self-votes will be discounted.
When do the awards take place?
This year's Awards take place after the annual Hedgeweek European Digital Assets Summit on Thursday 5th June 2025 at etc.venues, County Hall, London.
