Pre-selection data for the 2024 fund manager awards is provided by BarclayHedge and is based on both annualised returns and risk-relative returns over 12 months from Dec 1, 2022 to Nov 30, 2023.

The long-term performance category shortlists are based on annualised returns over 36 or 24 months (as relevant) from Dec 1, 2020 (or Dec 1, 2021) through Nov 30, 2023.

The Fund of the Year categories will be announced on the night of the awards and will be judged by our expert panel of investors.

For the service provider categories, the nominated firms are based on detailed research by our in-house team and a widespread survey of more than 100 global-based digital assets fund managers.

Managers will only be considered for selection if they report net of all fees performance data to BarclayHedge. How do I get nominated in the fund manager categories?
Fund manager nominations are based on pre-selection data provided by Bloomberg and are based on annualised returns over the 12 months from January 1st – December 31st 2023 by funds in their categories. Nominations in various award categories are further split by size and strategy as specified in the award name. How do I get nominated in the service provider categories?
Service provider nominations are based on detailed research by our in-house team and a widespread survey of fund managers. The firms with the most nominations make it through to the shortlist. Self-nominations are discounted.
Is there a cost to nominate myself or my peers?
There is no cost to nominate firms for the shortlist. Self-nominations will be discounted.
What is the deadline for nominations?
The deadline for fund manager nominations is Friday 26th January 2024. The deadline for service provider nominations is Friday 1st March 2024.
When will I find out if I’m shortlisted?
Finalists will be contacted by our team by Friday 1st March. A campaign kit will be provided to share with your networks and winners will be chosen via a voting system. To find out more about the voting process, contact us at events@hedgeweek.com
How are winners decided?
For the fund manager categories, winners are decided by a majority vote in our readers survey, in addition to feedback from our investor advisory board. For the service provider categories, winners are decided by a majority vote only. All self-votes will be discounted.
When do the awards take place?
This year's Awards take place after the annual Hedgeweek European Digital Assets Summit on Thursday 27th June 2024 at etc.venues, County Hall, London.
